I was emotionally moved and drunken not with wine (although it was quite good) but with the beauty and light of this country. During our stay in Rome, our hosts, Rosalba, Fabrizzio and Riccardo were gracious, kind and everso attentive to Sophie's and my needs. We are both grateful for their hospitality and friendship. This drawing was originally created 9 years ago at our family chalet in St. Donat using pencil on paper. After the children caught some fish I cleaned and prepared it for the meal. As I looked at the remains it inspired me to draw the detail of its texture against the natural backdrop. Nine years later I pop it into the computer and use my pen and tablet to touch it up.
